Re: Ciel

Cheyenne Mountain... Yup.  Now I remember. It's not that one that's the problem, and don't risk getting shot at.  LOL

Re: Big Stump

Great story.  I love Ben Franklin stories. If Ben had been around in the days of TV and stand-up comics, he'd have given George Carlin a run for his money...

That atomic clock you speak of is right up the hill, at Cheyenne Mountain. I'd offer to go up and give it a kick, but the army would shoot me.

Oregon is voting to do away with DST and I am giddy with anticipation!!! When I was a kid the time shift meant that we had to start getting up at 4 am instead of 5 am and the cows didn't like it much either. They were real grumpy for the first couple weeks. It made our parents pretty grumpy (not that we would notice any difference) and i suppose it didn't do much for our teachers. All in all it continues to mystify and aggrivate me as much as it did in my youth.  What am I missing here? I once heard that Ben Franklin proposed DST as a joke and congress didn't get it so they made it a law. Not true but a good story all the same - right?

I never wear a watch not since I retired. I go by the battery operated ones in the house that still go tick tock and my cell phone and laptop cos they do their own adjustments. That thing you have sounds like it needs to go. LOL
