So much easier to be flexable in the water .. If it was tropical water (average is 50 -60 degrees here on the Oregon coast) I'd live in the water. Actually though my mermaid is kind of based on an article I read a long time ago about the lore of mythical creatures. Seems that in some early nautical tales the mermaid more closely resembled an eel or squid or even (Ursila in Disney's "Little Mermaid" movie) an octopus. They are shape changers and able to hide their true natures from humans. The old don't judge a book by its cover rule. In case it isn't evident, I  love fantasy and history...
