Aba Brother - Sorry to take so long to comment.
The poem is a brilliant work, and my frivolous question is, did it help to heal the rift? I couldn’t resist asking. In truth, it must have incredibly difficult to write, and to write well, as did Pope. I enjoyed your post and equally brilliant write so much, patiently explaining to us the background and subtleties of the poem. As always, thank you for a terrific post.
