Re:Corbin

Folk do not like turning out in a part gale to tramp over wet ground, no the buck falls  here.  Not only that I expect I would have been grumbled at .

Re:

I am not that weak RP. I don't think my brother who was watching the television would have volunteered. It was my fault I should have foreseen the chance of frost. I did look up sweet peas and it seems it is the seed that is toxic. Sweet Williams and Carnations, can cause skin irritation but I have not heard of anyone suffering from it.

Re: Pat

Yes I know you did quite a bit of renovating. Briks are handy I never like to dispose of them.

It is the winter that keeps on coming...Love will eventually pay off, making it worth the wait and struggle.

Hauling bricks is exhausting. The previous owner had used old bricks

in a pattern around flower borders along the back fence - when the old fence had to be replaced, the brick borders no longer worked, so guess who hauled them, two
at a time, and stacked them for some new project... Sore back for a couple days. But mine was no mission of mercy to save the precious sweet peas.

Corbin’s right, where was everybody when it came to helping you? You poor thing. In the cold and wind with those bricks. I liked how your poem ended with a thought of summer.
