I prefer to think that the Heart cannot be touched. It can oly be hidden under the barrel of our egos. Salvation comes when we are able to get below the ego to our perfect heart.

I think oour hearts are as God created them, perfect. The we layer over it with ego/personality. At this level we see much what you label as evil.
