I was never fortunate to live by a lake that freezes over for skating. It must have been quite a treat!

I am sure your hats and scarves will be useful in coming weeks! I should round up a batch of donations, too.
I love sitting in a cozy house in extreme weathers, with larder well-stocked. So long as the power stays on...

Be safe there in that cold and snow. I hope you are stocked up with food and supplies. My daughter used to figure skate - in a rink. A few weeks ago they were on a ski trip and she had an opportunity to skake OUTSIDE for the first time ever! She said it was really cold skating outside.

P.D. just sent me an email wanting to know if there was anything we needed over here before the extreme cold settled in over here this week. Even though it is difficult to put a finger on what is going to happen when, it is good to have someone who cares.

We didn't get much snow from 2012-2015. Then we got nailed with a blizzard. It seems like snow comes in bunches.
