Music plays such an important role in our lives. Just think how a movie would sound without any music?
I love Joy to the World. I went to hear them at the casino and it was well worth the trip to hear 3 Dog Night
We also sang You Are My Sunshine....those were the days

I love this post. I love music. We were always a music family, both mine growing up and my own family (husband and sons) all except Ribcage. He always thought he had a bad voice, but somewhere along the line he started singing and he and I have fun doing that.

When I lived with my grandparents, between 3 and 6 yrs of age, Grandpa sang to my sister and me at bedtime, and You Are My Sunshine was 'our song.' It was played at his memorial service years later, long after--due to family complications--I'd lost him. My younger daughter sings it to her daughter now, too.

Sweet memories Pat. I always remember They'll be blue skies over the white cliffs of Dover. Just after the war. I suppose it was better than buzz bombs. My Mum used to like to hear the Old rugged Cross. When she had dementia. Although it made her cry.

Music has touched many a soul. When I think back to certain time periods in my life, I often think of the music, too.
Three Dog Night is an excellent band.
