I enjoy a spiral ham but others here prefer the other style. one of the best spirals I had was from Costco with the glaze packet one added. And Honey-Baked is good.. We are all fairly well-salted here by now.

we gave up drinking diet coke several years ago and without doing anything else Wiley lost 50 Ibs  and I lost 30. All the salts in it make you retain fluids and i am not sure what else. BUT this week while i have a glass of red wine, Wiley is having a can of his diet coke. Gotta have a bit of something once a year.

Best I ever tasted was each Christmas a customer would cut a slice of ham or whatever off the half-pig hanging on the kitchen wall. I suppose when one is young and cold and always hungry,it might have been a sweet illusion.

The pressure is gone and now it's a "What do we do now?"  weekend!

Heading to see Aquaman again, this time in 3-D Imax......

My fave is the saying that starts out "moderately wise a man should be..."

Also a woman, it seems.  My daughter especially loves that spiral cut ham, too - but it's spot on the holiday menu has been overtaken by her Cuban pork - a recipe she learned while living for a time in Key West. Both would be obstacles to my weight loss resolution.

It's a good week to eat ham (unless one is prone to swollen feet and ankles).  Actually, one week a year wouldn't kill a person (I don't think).  LOL
It is a great and special week, isn't it.
