Re: Pat

I suppose flok who have not got a garden or were brought up flowerless might yearn for something similar to nature. I always try to buy a potted rose as a present,at least it lasts longer than most and can be replanted in the garden or even a small patch of earth.. Poor old folk had a rough time if they were named as a witch, probably had dementia.

Re:RPreta

NO sadly they do not RP. I tasted one so I could assure you that they taste like red lemonade . I think it must be a strong allusion. My porridge is now lumpy again.

Re: Corbin

I thought folk like there sprays to show a few berries. Mine is varigated so it looks fine without and I am always wary of little chilren swallowing berries, just a phobia..

Well you know now poor Mrs M. Most would have resigned but she is made of sterner stuff. A pity we had not started to prepare for whatever is to come.

I myself am not in need for horse manure or any manure for that matter...That's a really cute poem you shared with us.

CCT

Well, I certainly like holly berries on my holly. I think it's what makes it pretty. ANd you have some charmed surroundings there, what with the witches, elves, huts and starberries. Do those starberries taste like strawberries? That was really clever.

I wonder if our tree had berries this year?

Love the bright contrast of red holly berries with the shiny green leaves.

But I like to look at them on the tree outside, just like I enjoy flowers in summertime. It seems a shame to cut the flowers and stick 'em in a water-filled vase in the house - away from their mission of supplying pollen to the bees, and fragrance to the air.  As for witches and wands and elves... well, they do what they do, mostly harmless I expect.

I am confused.....are you saying people like Holly berries separately, or are you saying people like holly branches with the berries on them?

BTW....Is PM May going to be voted out?
