I found people that joined in 2003.....But I think TAPS is the longest running current person on Blogit.

Re: Re: Re: Corbin

Cheers Corbin I know there was a lot of aggro at one stage. I does seem rather strange to quarrel over part fantasy.

Re: Re: Corbin

I think TAPS started in 2004...  Joe Love also started in 2005......4 months before he hooked me into signing up.

Re:Pat

I guess we look back at things rather nostalgically. I did see a recent advert . Small holly trees full of berries. I wonder why you moved?

Re RPresta

I don't mind really RP. I just have to hide the evidence, Arhie has a dislike for some reason, but he is like a gypsy himself. Thank you.

Re: Taps

This year Taps ours does not have many berries, I wonder if it is because it is being clipped heavily each year. Although if bad weather comes early winter thrushes will eat their fill and make a good old mess. That was a cute way to transport .

Re: Kabu

Kabu. Yes you are as bad as he is I suspect. I do remember my dad sayingv when he was a young man that he had a gypsy pal, they both cut wrists and became blood brothers. It always made my Mother smile.

Time does fly on by. I've been at it for 11 years now here...There is something liberating yet not so freeing about being on that string flying in the air.

Holly really is beautiful around Christmas time.  One year I spent a week in Portland, OR (where there was a beautiful holly tree in Son's yard) and then flew to Orlando, FL to visit other Son and family.  I packed up a whole suitcase of holly branches and took them to FL with me for Christmas decoration.

CCT

Wow! The travelers left a gift after helping themselves to the holly? Then asking for more? The irony of it all. Oh well. And a gentle poem that hints at reality.

I had a holly bush, 15 to 18 feet tall on my little place in Seattle, but

never thought of pruning it for decorations. It was that tall when I moved into the house, and stood near the corner of the fence where old fashioned climbing roses bloomed in June. At times I wish I'd held onto that place.
