An interesting take on TV offerings, which are sadly lacking, but that lack just reflects back on the viewers, who drive the ratings, which drive the programming..... I prefer channels such as nature channels, history channels, documentaries, science...... which can actually teach me something I don't already know...... Cheers

It is a job at times to accept most things are fantasy. It is sad that some folk live for the next episode of a soap.

I gave up days of our lives when I had to get a working jab back in the 1970's but sneakily I have read the magazine that tells one what is happening to do. I remeber the first episodes in black and white.

I loved this post! It was a read that brought me back to the days of my aunties watching Days of Our Lives, and then to thoughts of my cousin X, who never missed it, and then on to memories of when my sis and I were young moms and watched The Young and the Restless, in between the little ones' lunches and naptimes. Yes, the soaps were so unreal, yet in time their outlandish plots did indeed become seemingly real, and a pleasant distraction. Thank you.

It would have been a fun read if everything wasn't true and so bothersome to the psyche.

When reality gets too aweful and woeful, sometimes I go to my online game and kick shins for a while. It is not that exciting, the shins get bigger and meaner as you advance level by level, and your boots get bigger and tougher, but it is still the same shin-kicking. When an enemy is defeated, it drops random loot... so players run around the landscape mugging orcs for their fuzzy slippers...

These are strange times that we are living in. I keep expecting to wake up from the dream.
