Re: Re: Re: C_C_T

No RP it lifted a weight off of my mind . We thought the end was near. Sadly it took Pearl Barbour to  motivate the action. No country wants to be involved in war if they can help it..

Re: Re: C_C_T

You mean the USA joining made you feel dark and dismal? I'm sorry to hear that.

Re:

Well children I suppose . I remember I carried a black feeling through those years, it was like removing one coat when USA joined we all thought we had something dark and dismal to endure.

I remember my time in Egypt when trains were blockaded, buildings blown up...and those were times that were more settled.

Were you in or close to any areas that were bombed.  Didn't Germany use some of the first rockets or missles on you guys?

War was really close to home for you back in the 30s and 40s. Nowadays, we see the wars being waged on television and the Internet.

Insightful. It's always good to read your stories. I can't imagine how awful wartime was for you.

Reminds me of my own kid days, when rocks were thrown and

shouting matches sometimes ended badly. I didn't realize I was such a hooligan.
