Re: adnhor

Thank you adnohr. Of course one has such a selection to choose from, I remember the days when one would spend all day looking around in shops for a mediocre article

Re: RPresta

Funny you should say about shoes RP. My brother has just bought two pairs made in USA .Half price. £50 a pair. Someone said you ought to try shoes on. He said well all I have to do is order a one size larger to get a perfect fit.  Mind in the olden days whatever one bought would be a pain for a week or two until they were worn in.

Re: FS

It does seem to have started again here F.S. Business rates are too high.

Re: Corbin

Ongoing I think Corbin dog eats dog etc. It's life I guess. A far cry from our little traveling shop. At one time I thought I might have a fleet of vans. It might have been alright if time had stood still.

Businesses closing have plateaued where I'm at. Small beatings did take a lot of beatings over the last few years...I like the artistic element.

Shops are closing here also. I like to buy things in shops. Shoes, one must try on shoes...things like that. a picturesque and lovely poem. Perhaps one doesn't steal an artisi's vision, for they paint to share, at least at times.

Love that poem, CCT! It feels so close.

SO unfortunate for the shops. People don't seem to have the time or energy to shop anywhere anymore except from a living room chair.

How real: the art becomes something that breathes, radiates warmth.

Much like watching a story unfold as I write it.

both parts were appealing......curiosity drives the interest in the first part......is it a common problem each winter?
