He has been in the hospital the last three days. He is back home right now and called for Son to return his call. Son has been gone so hasn't returned the call yet, so I don't know what news he has.

It's a scary thing when our friends get seriously sick, and the best thing we can do for them is to be there. From all we have read about him, I'm sure Ribcage will be just what Craig needs right now.

I can imagine Ribcage being shocked, wars mess lives up and no one thinks of the future. I do hope a transplant is possible, it is a dire situation.

Liver transplants can be very successful - my kids' dad had a
liver enzyme deficiency that required a transplant - he was in his early 50s at the time. He received the transplant at Barnes Jewish hospital in St. Louis in 1993 and survived until July 2012 (just shy of 20 years) and his death was caused by a heart problem - the liver actually prolonged his life by five years. So tell your friend not to give up.
