Re: FS

True FS. I once tried to get a goose from a shelter but no luck.

Re: Rpresta

Yes RP. It is not like in the old days folk let their dogs run free. The vets bills are steep, but I know the yearning for a nice pet.

Re: Pat

Never quite the euphoria one expects a pity it would have been tough trying to replace it.

The worst part is to find it...put it someplace for safekeeping, and forget where it's at......

I know well that rush of relief when the thing lost turns up again--car keys, license that had gotten taken out of the wallet and not properly re-stowed, recharging devices... A word or a name I need right now, and will only remember at some odd future moment... I don't think the frustration and exasperation help in the remembering process.

I have always found with Wiley is that if he loses something it is my job to find it. Such a cute trait and so if i see something where it is unusual for it to be, I put the information into my brain so that i can help.

It's always the last place you look (and other cliches).

Good it turned up.  Loved the doggie poem, so true - when you visit the shelter you want to save them all.

Wow. Good thing you found the license. What a mess! Kids really enjoy getting a dog. My grandsons want one. So true in a sense of a poem.

Paperwork is a neverending process...The symbolism of the animal in a shelter fits well.
