TAPS

I agree heartily, that traumatic events can deeply scar our minds and our soul, and it then becomes a game of recovery,  and some are more resilient and better at recovery than others.... consider the crippling wounds of of soldiers, our veterans, of both their body and soul.

And also some trauma is irrational and self-induced, with the danger being non-existent but the perception of danger being real and damaging.  Your photo is an excellent case in point.  The little girl is in no danger for two reasons:  first, the glass will protect her, even if the dolphin was a shark intent upon eating her..... second, even if there was no glass, she is in no danger from a dolphin, a friendly species that often befriends and helps humans in trouble.

But the little girl is still terrified and traumatized,  for no good reason.  She may be scarred for life with a fear of dolphins, for no good reason.  I hope she has the strength of spirit to overcome this irrational fear, for it serves no good porpoise (pun intended,  LOL).   Cheers

PS-- I am now back on Blogit after a few months absence,  and I must say I missed you and my other friends here.  It is good to be back!!

The pic goes so well with the sense. These traumas indeed bring about an about-turn change in our lives and make us what we are! Most of the times, for good.l

Traumatic experiences do play a major role in shaping us. It seems like everybody has one or two that still affect them to this day.

Great photo! And your post about trauma is spot on. We all have to

face it; what's that old saying, if it doesn't kill me it makes me stronger...
