This was a delight to read, Pat. And it should be a great comfort to know that your children will take those memories with them, hold them close and cherish them. Good for you, and those good days with your husband. It's more than some children ever get (not myself, but others).

you gave them so many great memories. Those camping trips as a family had to be a great time as well. Your husband really couldn't help the illness, the depression that over took him. It was your strength that kept the family united I am sure.

Good memories are worth treasuring . Some children cannot remember any. Although I suspect not may know what is going on they are in different worlds most of the time.
