Corbin made a great point...One's skill has to be a factor in it and perhaps the music she likes. A woman who likes hip hop probably isn't going to like George Ezra's voice for example.

As long as he does not sing that well known old lovers refrain. 'Giving a donkey a strawberry.' Well if it is a lady she could just sit on his lap and sing.

He needs to wait til'  he gets to the club and then sing....that's how he pays for the dinner.....

Oh, it it were me, which it is not,  I think it would be much more romantic if he sang a special song in a small club, and glanced over at me from time to time while he sang, and then waited until the song was over and walked over to my table and then asked me out. That's assuming I had already made his acquaintance.
