I make sure the house is locked securely Bill. The plumbing makes me aware sometimes it sounds like someone stamping around.

The dogs can do that...but I trust their judgement...if they're at the kennel, I make sure one of my Glocks (pistol) is laying on the table next to me.......

Worst thing is being awakened by an earthquake in the middle of the night. Scary. I would hate a stranger in my house.
