Corbin I have spoken to folk and have known more of there family history than they ever would. I don't think they could have communicated with there parents hardly at all.

One does not realize it at the time but Gypsies in those days were mostly unschooled or moved so frequently that it was a job to get a lot of education. When I think back some had really regal faces more like one would imagine an Indian Chief, I suppose they wre sun tanned. I will try and see if I can think of that time .

CCT - Oh, this was great fun to read. I so enjoyed it.
It's a great story, made better by you getting your mom to talk! It was really difficult to get my grandmother to spill the beans about much, but I was persistent. My dad was pretty tight-lipped about his lady-friends before he met my mom, but Mother, she'd talk.
