I suppose the could go wild and eke out a meagre living. Sounds like disputed walk around area. Once well here they were always tufted out at night,but I suppose in Winter the house was quite cold at night.

I think what happens sometimes folk have cat, then they want a dog, cat takes umbrage and begins to roam. Someome then feeds it or it gets run over.
Well your lovely cat would not go far.

It's rare seeing cats out there nowadays. Most cats have become indoor cats, I guess because of what cats tend to do to their environments.

Sadly folk have a kitten it grows they move and forget to take it with them. I don't want the worry of animals but I like to treat them kindly.

I am hoping the other one is now shut in, I think it is quite an expensive one to buy. My brother said one can tell by the color of their eyes if it is a Persian or a different breed.

Some people forget that cats are not as independent as they may
seem, that survival on their own is a chancy proposition at times. It's good karma for people to treat animals kindly, especially those they don't "own."

A lot of tenants here have cats but they do not put them out at night as people used to do. So, the last couple of nights I have been wakened (surprised) by two cats fighting under my bedroom window. Pretty noisy. I'm thinking someone must have deserted them in the woods across the road. I never see them in the day time.
