Pat - Indeed.

I don't get political here on Blogit, but I don't think there were many people who did not feel some type of emotion while watching that hearing. Many women especially had a visceral reaction to some phase of it, as it served as a trigger for memories perhaps forgotten.

Sadly it takes a long time for attitudes to change, but I think it is on the way big time.

Not long ago women could not vote it seems strange somehow. I remember my mother saying the school teacher would come alongside the little girls and pinch their arms.

I am very close to blocking that person too dear. He is really upsetting my equilibrium and right now I don't need that in my life. Block or ignore...I have to decide. I have never blocked anyone but when posts get vitriolic towards any slightly different thinking then I am best not to be there reading and commenting.

As you may not be aware, I have blocked one person from commenting

on my posts because their comments have been demeaning and sarcastic, so full of monstrous dogma they set me agog. I couldn't believe a thinking person could actually support - let alone create and publish - such spite toward other points of view. It seemed the intention was humiliate anyone who expressed ideas contrary to their own.

From time to time I visit that individual's blog with the hope that a bit of balance and reason may have come into play. Sadly, this is not the case.

This all makes me feel ill, but you have written about it so well.  You are a strong woman.

Here's to hoping that women will start to be treated with the dignity they deserve.
