wonderful post and we women even me who is fast becoming an old crone have to keep speaking up for the gender equality that all people should be given. Women men children people of the LGBTO? (did I get that right) the disabled the underprivileged those that migrate, everyone. Women are too easily dismissed or bullied and it really is time that we have our place in society exall to all men.

There is a struggle between the human self and the beast self.

Ciel - very nice post. I will try not to rant.

Perhaps more mothers of boys could, and/or should, contunue to consider teaching respectful behavior toward others, females included, which is not to negate the necessity for mothers of girls to do the same. Arrogance, in its many forms, and any socially unacceptable, aggressive behavior demonstrated toward others consists partially of some aspect of arrogance, may have once been a common and accepted, even expected, norm, but now socially negative actions only reflect a baser self. Women, as well as men, are beginning to demand that others strive toward living up to the civilized standards found in our higher selves than they have in the past. Something good for the girl child, as well as the boy child. I call it decency.
