The soup does sound very yummy...It is interesting how our writings based on true events in the future seem to be becoming more of a reality.

Cooking is a lot of effort Pat. If you like doing it though that's great. Perhaps it will be mercenaries fighting more in the future there is probably an air of fear surrounding them.

That soup sounds good! I have not yet used dried beans, but may try them in the slow cooker. I sometimes take the canned baked beans, rince the excess sweet sauce off them, and use them that way.
I am baking a split game hen in a lemongrass coconut milk simmer sauce right now. It was going to be a big piece of cod in the sauce, but it didn't smell right when I opened the package.

If 1984 can come true, why not your troubling vision of the future...? I feel like we are toppling on top of a narrow ledge, could still tip either way--but I still have faith we will tip to the better side, where life and light thrive.
