Re: Re: Ciel

Seems to me, it isn't the thing that was said or done, it's that someone wanted to hurt us, or didn't care if they did. When it is inadvertant, it doesn't cling so much.

Re: Ciel

Good for you! I still remember the feeling of a rude remark some stanger kid made to me when I was 9.

Re: RPresta,

At least I have here to vent, and already am forgetting about it.

We often carry those memories of hurts long after the initial pain has gone away. So sorry about the wedding invitation.

Re: Kabu,

I don't know how long I will 'snooze.' The habit is strong... But yeah, I have had enough of the insanity for a while, besides what boils down to bad manners and lack of consideration. I will still be here, though, and still opinionated!

Re: CCT,

I can believe it... Do you hear of Bridezillas over there? The crazy expectations of brides intent on creating their Perfect Day... The only thing our gal here is doing is having a kind of dress-code for the guests. I can see it for the wedding party themselves, of course, but to require your guests to, for example, not wear jeans, just seems a bit picky. It is a wonder that I have anything else!

I might not have gone to the events, but it would mean something to be asked.

Hermits, yeah!

Re: Pat,

Yes... but being overlooked time after time begins to suggest a pattern. As to the high road, sometimes it is the only road to take.

I admire you. I would be hurt, you have every right to your feelings, but I am so proud that you are keeping them to yourself.

Sorry you won't be on FB. For me you are such a voice of reason and sensiblity in a sea of hate.

I have heard that weddings upset more folk than one would believe possible.

Relations are chewed over and remember there are both sides to keep in harmony.

Good luck, I know you might feel left out, I have been left out very often, but then hermits. Be happy.

Most likely they just had too many details to attend to and it was a

total oversight. Good on you for taking the high road.
