Yes, it can be tiring to have one event after the other after the other. Our family was like that in July and now it is a marathon from before Halloween until Christmas! Just do what you feel like doing.

Fortunately for us we don't have to celebrate Christmas or Birthdays anymore being so far from all family. Just a phone call does the trick.
Some of Wiley's family helped us to celebrate hi 80th the other year and I felt sad that he never took his eyes of me. Really that was all he wanted, him and me out together. it was after that I realized he was actually getting ill.

It is much easier to say "age" than list all the things age has effected in my body that keeps me from climbing mountains.

We have another really large grouping of them in November along with Thanksgiving. I'd like to send cards and say "Count me out of celebrations." But it seems important to them the the family matriarch be in attendance. I'm the oldest living relative in our extended family now. LOL. That distinction is sometimes a bit tedious.

Well Taps we don't seem to celebrate birthdays overmuch in my family we tend to send a funny card and commiserate at the same time.

And it seems to happen more in the summer...I don't have any nieces or nephews in my family......but Joe Love's family (which I'm still a part of) consists of 13 nephews and nieces. All during the summer months!
