Your son? Good for him. Much better this new job than that of the prison plumber. His body will thank him when it is retirement time. And probably his wallet also.

Re: easier way to make a living....
I'm not sure the new job is easier - there's a lot of knowledge and experience that goes into it, and a lot of responsibility, although it's not as physically demanding. He's done his time in ditches and snowbanks and sweatty construction sites.

Well it was a lucky turn of events who could blame a man for seeking the easier way to make a living.

Re: Re: TAPS
Well, I like this one you did. Ours flowed for twenty years and then got plugged up by a pretty young thing.

Reading this reminds me that things do have a way of working out. Sometimes, we just have to wait for the door we want to open to open up for us in the meantime.

Re: TAPS
That's so cool! I keep trying to find a punch line about plumbers, preachers and how to make a marriage flow smoothly, but humor is so hard!

This brought back a lot of memories for me. My husband and I were married by the Kansas City Plumbing Inspector. LOL. He was a lifetime friend of our family. How that happened was that after he got his plumbing career going, he felt the call to start a little church and be the preacher. So he started one in our neighborhood and we began going there. But, he also continued his city position until he retired. He did both at the same time. He was a preaching plumber.
