- Go to Should people use 911, police for all violations, taking time emergencies?
911 should only be for emergencies with the exception being if someone did not know the number of the appropriate police department. If someone is passing through a town and sees something, odds are they don't know the police station number.

Ray Charles & Count Basie--not bad music at 0300 hours since I couldn't sleep. I don't remember ever calling 911 though Ribcage called it once for me when I collapsed from pneumonia and A-fib. They must have done something right for me as I survived.
