I love my relatives and like em too. The ones I see occasionally anyhow. I have some I've never met. They live far away.

My family has never been very good at connecting or communicating. I am no exception to that rule. But I stay in touch with my elder sister and my kids.

Well I rarely see reliatives only at the last call, so we all get along like houses on fire.
Mind I know the old Aunts were always hard to please.

P.S. being a kid, I tended to like the rowdy, joke-telling, rebels better
than the strait-laced, zip-lipped disapprovers.

Some of my mom's side of the family, her uncles, etc., tended to be
very sober and self-righteous, always talking about sin and redemption, which made things interesting if great uncle Hiram showed up at a family reunion with a jug of his home-made 'shine.' A couple generations back during the settlement of the northern Ohio valley there were Christian missionaries and on another branch of the family one who was a member of the Jesse James gang - so there was no doubt some dissonance.

I like most of my relatives. Certainly, there are always bound to be some who one doesn't like.

I like my relatives. The ones I know at least. One person bugs me where I go once a week. I pray for her. That helps. She seems to be very controlling.

Taps darling,
a wonderful post.
I suppose I took the ultimate way out from having to be annoyed by cousins and people who I once knew but either I changed or they did. I created my own independence day and flew away to Canada to Wiley and to peace. Love you dear.

As the only one for twenty years that went to college, hanging out with my cousins really just didn't work for me......and they tended to be bigots. So it wasn't a good match.
