My Mother used to say that and she's been proven right countless times.

That was a rough day, indeed. Any time air conditioning is not around or not working on scorchers, it is miserable.

that sounds horrible, but if you were younger, when we get older the heat is so hard to take.

Re:
I have no idea. It's been quite some time back since I retired and there were always law suits going on there. I had to testify in a couple of them myself. I know a couple of them came back in wheel chairs and worked in office work until they could walk again.

Re: TAPS
It is from condensation - meaning that the air is humid and the floor is cool so moisture is simply condensing out of the air in the same way that it does on the sides of the glass when you have a cold drink on a hot day.

And their failure to take care of the problem never resulted in law suits?

Wow! I'd never heard of floors sweating! That was quite a day! Where I worked there was a back-up generator, but they'd send home some staff once in a great while.

Well i have started wearing knee pads, I did trip on hose pipe and it saved the knee. I always cringe when I see women kneeling on hard floors in supermarkets a lot of men also especially plumbers and carpet layers will hobble eventually. If i had been in charge in your ward I would have told the nurses to wrap towels around their knees.
