It was hot here today. I thought Archie was mad sawing wood. I went to tell him so but he was beneath our Weeping Ash and it was almost like being cooled by fans.

It's great you have a/c! Here, it is up to 84 and is expected to go 10 degrees higher over the next 4 hours or so. I do have a/c in the truck, and at home, I will keep my head wet!

Not too bad here right now, but if it gets that way, I will close up the windows and turn on the A/C. I don't like a lot of heat and humidity either.

I hate the combination of hot and humid! Can't imagine living in the midwest, or along the Atlantic coast! I grew up in tropical summers of NY/NJ, and they were miserable!

Thanks for the good wishes. Heat is not kind to folks like me,
but as they say here, it's not so much the heat as the humidity. The air is heavy with moisture, sweat doesn't evaporate and cool you - I'll never forget the first time I stepped off the train at Union Station in St. Louis, it was 90 degrees and humid. I thought it was a tropical jungle. Stay cool...
