I guess dog parks are more of an urban thing. Dogs don't do so well when let run in cities. We have a couple of fenced yards, but some dogs really need to hang out with other dogs, too.

Dog park sounds fun. We don't have them in rural Iowa. We just let the dogs out in the pasture.

This park has a separate fenced area for the small dogs, though a lot of small dogs seem quite happy among the big ones. If one's own dogs are vaccinated, that should not be a problem. It's great to have enough room to roam at home. We take Milo because he needs to hang out with other dogs.

There's a huge dog park outside of Louisville....I'm hesitant to take any of my dogs there.....first of all, there are too many of the labs you don't have a chance with the little guys....and I don't know if they have been fully vaccinated.
Luckily, I have 7 acres of which 2.5 are fully fenced in...so we have our own "private" dog park ....

It's a real delight to see all the doggy smiles, all the enthusiasm and socializing! You get to 'reading' their body language and see the ones that are shy or just want to play with everyone, which ones are the ones that think their job is to protect little dogs, and the ones who are possessive of their people or their ball or a random stick... the ones that are more and less thrilled to be there!
