Pat
I always revered my elders. They seemed so precious and in a way, mysterious. There weren't enough stories they could tell me. Some of these kids will learn the hard way.

That sounds like a good idea to me. Join the group you had and bug the new leader. LOL

Oh Wow!
We know, don't we. No one can escape. It is either the frying pan or the fire.

I learned all that i could about family history and loved the only Grandparent that i had...my Gram. We used to sit and listen to adult conversations if allowed because we learned so much. i don't think any one of my grandchildren care at all about my life or my side of their ancestry. Pity.

It just gets a bit tougher each year Pat. Once you would have kicked ass probably. You are now more gentle and more loveable.

My first post of the day was 'inappriate' - sort of - and so I took it down
before it got any comments. This 'invisibility' thing may be another response to losing my Tuesday a.m. gig at The Center's front desk. I think maybe I'll start going up there and hanging around on Tuesdays, maybe have a cuppa coffee & visit with the regulars.

We live in a society that despises the elders who have so much to teach, to share--a link to history which is also despised. Silly, silly society!
