Sally was a poor mentor. Before chastising you on this point, which she should not have done, as it is not the point of being a mentor, she should have asked you if you had ever had any classroom management instruction. When you would then have answered in the negative, it would have been the perfect opportunity for her to show you and teach you how to deal with a situation like that. It's the same with any sort of mentoring or parental guidance. I'm sorry you experienced that.
