To have a civilization...it must have order and the rule of Law.  Based on your premise does that mean that America, because of its successes, should take in everyone that has needs?  We have done more for the world than any civilization in history.

South Africa is a good example of things digressing...the most successful country on the African continent....and as a result of revenge thinking, will soon be a third world society....but the majority did get their way.....

But - is the LAW always right? Or just a way of justifying whatever is being done because that 'whatever' is serving the purpose for the moment? I can't condone cruelty of any kind, and what is happening to those families is cruel. I don't give a damn whose fault it is - just please stop.

This was a dumb statement peppered with frustration.....It's not that the parents don't want them....they want them to have a better life in America.  Who wouldn't? 

However, that doesn't negate our rule of law.  Sadly our corporate world is after one thing...."cheap labor"  (Gasp? Did I say that?)  So they willfully look the other way while in their gated communities, and high-rise condos.  Yes, I'm knocking "Corporate America"  because of their motives.

I'm not saying they aren't wanted....If I was in their situation, knowing that I would be arrested crossing  on our own, I would want them to have a chance.

That still doesn't make it OK to violate our laws....

And with my mis-spelling, LOL.  Hypocrisy: a pretense of having a virtuous character, moral or religious beliefs or principles, etc., that one does not really possess. (from dictionary.com)

More to the point, is the double standard, or the different code or set of principles containing different provisions for one group of people than for another. (also from dictionary.com)   Like Trump and his supporters, versus Obama and his supporters.

The SAME THING was done to kids during the 8 years of Obama, where was your outrage then??  But regardless of the president at the time, the kids are being taken care of.  Their basic needs are being met.  Most of them were separated from their parents when they began their journey, far to the south, in another country.

The proper path is if you don't like the law, campaign to change it.
