I still use my garlic crusher. Very handy. Your poems float along, just touching us delicately as they go by. I'm wondering if you were a sweeter version of Don Juan in your youth?

Re: Pat

Well Pat it is early even for us this year, my brother likes the small tomatoes not the tiny ones , but those with a good flavor, not as though he ever does anything but enjoy the result. However he is a good cook so it is best to say nothing.I do try and find a poem that is older and then smarten it up a bit. One has to be very young perhaps to be emotionally driven.

Re: RPresta

Thank you, Yes I have to go for an hearing aid test tomorrow so I told my brother not to use the garlic crusher, it is better if everyone partakes of that at the same time,

You are right about that--only a pensioner once.  One might as well have fun, spend the money as you can't take it with you.

A delightfully wistful and gentle poem there. Interesting to hear about the garlic crusher. I've had one for many, many years. When my girls were little, for some reason, it really amused, and amazed, them!

It's a pleasure to hear about what's happening with you and Arthur and Archie and all!

IMHO there's nothing sweeter than that first perfectly ripe

tomato from the garden in summertime. Not even strawberries.

I so enjoy your wistful poems, and have yet to see one I remember from a previous post.
