Re: In the news cycle, it's the unusual - even unheard-of thing - that

Pat....Can you name any competition in track and field where a male competes in the girl's events and loses?

To make matters worse......

Miller competed on the boys’ team during the winter indoor season then joined the girls’ competition in the spring.

Now Pat,  I love ya as a friend on Blogit but I don't care if my opinion sets well with you or not.   Do not talk to me about feeling like an outsider, l've lived it.  Being shamed for not fitting in,  being accepted and having my own place in the world.  Being called queer and faggot....this was during the period of time when there was no connotation of being "gay"...there was nothing to be gay about.

Thank God I didn't fit the mold.   I was a butch homo....so when I was verbally accosted, I stood my ground.  It's a real downer for a straight guy to have to admit he was whupped by a queer.....Been there, done that, loved it.

The sad thing is there are effeminate boys that prefer to have sex with girls and butch girls that prefer to have sex with boys.   But our school systems have these mamby-pamby  social do-gooders insisting on guiding them down the path they perceive as appropriate.

Back to original topic.....what's the use of a girl athlete in track and field even trying when they are competing with the male physique?

In the news cycle, it's the unusual - even unheard-of thing - that

grabs the headline. I do not believe trans-gender competitors are going to dominate or sidetrack opportunity in any sport in any real sense. Anyone who wants to challenge their individual limits and compete with others to run a race, throw a ball, etc., will still be able to. For one thing, only about ten percent of the population is other than ordinarily heterosexual. Of that 10% I'm guessing about 10 percent of that number identify with their opposite biological sex.

The bitter flavor of your post - even the label "Transgender Agenda" does not set well with me. In my experience those who grow up feeling like outsiders, being shamed for not fitting in, have one primary agenda, and that is to be accepted, to be recognized as worthy of having a place in this world. If we are 'normal' we should kiss the ground in gratitude rather than look for verbal sticks and stones.
