He must have made it difficult, but that's what goes on in real life. There was only the beginning of the acceptance of women doing "men's work." Well, except for Lois Lane, of course. lol. You came away from that class a winner.

It never occurred to me, ever, to try to get into journalism. I wouldn't have been good at it. I never did have what it takes for that. My interests were always elsewhere.

makes me yearn for good old news, not someones opinion on a topic that is so worn out and not of any interest. there is an art in telling the story and you have it, along with several others here on blogit.
