Doing dishes isn't romantic to me; never was, never will be. I'm sorry, but I can't think of any household chores that were romantic before marriage... :)

I think you have it backwards. Before marriage household chores were pretty much just something you had to do. After marriage and in your own home and with your love it was exciting to make your nest the best.
