It great that Mama explained some things to her. Not all parents did. And different children react differently to the same info. My mom was great about cluing us in.

My Mother never told me anything...nor did my big Sister. I learned from girls at boarding school...I was still amazingly innocent when I got married.

Life is full of unpleasant things, but one has to grin and bear it. i remember when my breasts began to swell but they went back down again. ;/;

I must not be sensitive because I thought this was great. Mom told me nothing at all. Everything I ever learned was from my little girlfriend who had an older cousin that told her everything.

I wish you could have talked with them, too. I was lucky enough to be able to talk with my kids about the hard stuff. It was so much tougher for LGBTQ kids in the late '80s and '90s than it seems now.
