Re: TAPS - Thank you ever so much for your kind compliment.
After hearing a very detailed line-by-line analysis of Sandburg's poem, Skyscraper, by established, erudite poets, I felt compelled to write this. As you can see, my opinion differed somewhat. Guess that's why they are who they are and I'm - well, just me. lol.

Yes, these skyscrapers are becoming such the norm. It makes one think about how growth has changed since the advent of the industrial revolution, when Sandburg was seemingly in awe of such buildings, so much so that he poetically gave them a "soul".

Thank you. And you are right. People complain about their loss of green space, but it goes away anyway.

Thank you. And if one reads Sandburg's poem, one gets the sense of his admiration for advent of the industrial age. Not so much now.
