Next it'll be a robot that vacuums good. I've had one. However, I needed to reset it on the carpet love.

I know what you mean Taps. I hate lugging the vacuum up and down stairs .I wish it would burn out.I could then buy myself a mother's present.

Enjoy your new toy!
I have a vacuum that was so heavy to hoist around... Until I changed the bag. Who knew cat hair is so heavy!
But I also got one of those light weight ones with all the crevice tools... Only way I can do the carpeted stairs or the furniture--and someday, I will do all those things!

Re: Corbin
Very interesting comment. That one didn't tempt me, though I considered it.

It's a good thing you're not getting a Roomba!
Your Roomba may be vacuuming up more than you think.
High-end models of Roomba, iRobot’s robotic vacuum, collect data as they clean, identifying the locations of your walls and furniture. This helps them avoid crashing into your couch, but it also creates a map of your home that iRobot could share with Amazon, Apple or Google.
That prospect stirred some alarm when Reuters quoted iRobot’s chief executive, Colin Angle, saying that a deal could come in the next two years.

I've been thinking about doing that very thing - get one of those
lightweight cordless vacuums. And for the very same reasons. But now that I'm getting ready to move from this house to an all on one floor apt. in a senior community, I'm putting off buying the new one. Happy Mother's Day Taps...

TAPS - You are such a good bad mom...
Every year without fail for her birthday and Mother's Day, my mom would say, "Don't get me anything; I have everything I need." And every year, all of us kids, would fry our little brains trying to think of something. My brother lucked out one year as a little boy, and bought her a lipstick which she loved, and every year that was her gift from him. I vowed never to do that to my girls, make them struggle to think of something, so I name off "something" just so they will not wrack their brains over a gift. You did well, and now I hope you love the vaccuum. You also reminded me that I need one, big time. Happy Mom's day to you, early.
