I like the idea of not being continuously tagged, followed, numbered, or any other such "e-thingy." It's called being sane, I think, not being old.

It's a proportional thing...
Without internet and this device, I would never have known you or TAPS or CCT or Adnohr... or everyone else here whom I visit, who visits me... My world would be smaller that way.
On the other hand, I completely agree that we are shuffling off to automatons the tasks we think are burdensome and the blame when things go awry--The robot mangled my homework...
In fact, the human lifestyle that permits the most leisure time is that of the hunter/gatherer.

I can't agree with you enough....
I have an Alexa.....I would be typing in my den on the computer....she would come on and talk to me.....occasionally let out a demonic laugh. It was creepy! Se is now unplugged....that was before I read about how the Feds can force Amazon to give them the recordings in your home. IN MY HOME?

Please don't say that Pat, I like to build a romantic aura around all bloggers. It just makes everything appear more simple. I know your kettle swings from a chain over your fire, yes you will miss it when you move and get an electric kettle. I am just off to the well to draw a bucketful, be happy.
