Evergreen and Antioch in Yellow Springs OH came up with a lot of better ideas of how to teach and learn. But TESC at least has fallen into the morass of Political Correctness as defined by kids who are both idealistic and intolerant. It's still a great campus to visit.

Thanks for the report - it sounds like a grand way to spend a

weekend - with costumes and the arts and whether or not you make money is not an issue.  Loved the Tribbles costume - that was a funny episode if I remember correctly. As for Evergreen State - one of the most successful programs we used to offer at Seattle Central was the Coordinated Studies class - a 13-17 credit class that focused on a theme (like the Holocaust) and students could pick and choose among various classes to assign their credits. choices might include English Lit or Comp., Creative Writing, Sociology, History, and more at the end of the quarter - they'd get the same grade in all. The clustered theme idea came from Evergreen.
