It sounds like you are relieved now that the decision has been made, and I'm sure your children are relieved also. Besides, you can still continue doing all the things that are fun and important to you! Sounds like a win-win situation. Good for you and your family.

Sometimes--often, I suspect--people simply can't go to family for help. For one thing there is too much burden of history, of attitudes and beliefs about each other, too much unfinished business.
This move sounds like it will be a wonderful new adventure!
