I went through a phase of trying to live up to my parent's expectations.
Unfortunately, my mother wanted me to marry a certain type of man, and they both wanted me to do everything except what I wanted to do. I am glad that I didn't listen and chose my own path. Today they are proud of me and I am proud of myself.
