Re: overthe rainbow
Well I have not heard of any bears, the milkman who delivers through the night said he saw a large cat like creature jump over a gate. There are deer of course once one could be transported to Australia for taking a deer. In the past someone in the family had lucky escape.

Yes at a time like that one hopes the toilet facilities adjoin the tent. At least you took a good shot of him.

Re: Corbin
Well Corbin this actually happened to my brother, he set up a tent on an island . He did have a girl for protection. They heard this sniffing and rustling through the night the brother crept out in the morning, put his hand in a smelly poop and four big dogs were messing around looking for tidbits I suppose.

We did a lot of weekend camping when my boys were young, and
those night sounds were always so close, so much louder than they were from inside the car... Stepping out in the a.m. was often tricky.

I took the four sons camping once when they were young, without their Dad. They wanted to go very badly a weekend their Dad had to work. We did fine with the tent and campfire and cooking, but night was another thing. It had to be Big Foot circling our campsite. We all heard him.

What an absolutely interesting poem is your second one. Very nice. Me, I personally never cared much for camping! Gues you explained a good reason not to. Lol.
