Reminds me to think more about looking up to the heavens at night. Easy to forget to take in the wonderous sight of the stars on a clear dark night...

Well that was fun. I'm sure they photographed you for showing how enthusiastic the viewers were. I don't know if I imagined it but when I was very small I seem to remember seeing an airship pass over. Sadly the gas there were filled with would ignite if a problem arose.

Re: taps
funny you mention shooting stars, it seems about 10 years ago i could spot one every night, but for a few years now i can't spot them anymore, perhaps it is my old, over used eyes.

i have seen sattelites in the sky, my son is good at spotting them. This went right over my house and was so bright and big, i imagined i could see the arms, but i know i didn't.

You never know what you might see in the night sky. My Dad loved astronomy so he was always dragging us outside to witness something interesting or make us name the planets. I loved the "shooting stars".

well done Oh what fun to catch it like that. My eldest Son in Australia has a place a site on the internet where he keeps watch and he sets an alarm to remind him to go outside and watch. Saw the space station with him one night . it wasn't close like your viiew but fun.
