Yes, it does seem like things are so bad, but I try to have hope that they will get better.

i have felt every word you just wrote. when i think the world is falling apart, i go to npr, i visit the net, sites like nasa, i watch documentaries, i think about all the heros in the world, i see selfless people all around me, i see people trying to save this earth, i see a lot of hardworking people willing to share what they have, so i can promise you without hesitation, the good by far outnumbers the bad. and we always have each other here on blogit.

I've been having a personal one of those since my Seattle Grandson renewed old acquaintance. His mother doesn't like it at all that he is having a really good time getting reacquainted with Kansas City kinfolk through FaceBook. She is using some pretty filthy language to make her feelings known. Grandson told his dad (P.D.), "Being reunited with you and grandma and connecting with the other family members has now become like 'Desi-repellent' so to speak." (Desi is his mom.)

We have been following the Olympics and keeping away from the news and especially CNN. I can keep up with the headlines and that is enough. I feel so much happier suddenly. I am just going to keep away from the news.
