Re: Taps

I hope you will feel revitalized . Sob sob, our caterpillar did a runner, my brother blamed me, so I found another small green one in the greenhouse and we have it eating anomone flowers confined by a plastic bag .

I definitely am one whose attention is caught by the beauty of flowers.  Just waiting for spring to bring forth this year's beauties.

Re: Ciel

Well it is a bit of fun to beat nature, I think your warm time comes about a month before ours although for the last year or two the middle of May has been acceptable

Re: Especially agree with the first verse,

Yes I know the feeling Pat. I have watched folk beaming as they pick up trays of small warm kept plants and wonder how they will look after our spring frosts which will even burn new stinging nettles.

Re: Kabu

One winter here geraniums actually stuck it out. Probably a good idea to take cuttings from the best plants later on I am pretty sure they would grow in a pot in the window, depends on the light of course.

One must be careful with the timing of planting. Also, words are tricky things; I agree. Cute poem and fun.

no point of growing things here yet for months. My kitchen window sills are full of saved Geraniums.

Especially agree with the first verse,

but oh, those seed catalogs are so seductive...

I sometimes use grocery store plastic trays with tall clear plastic on top like little green houses to start seeds out of season.
